Gridiron Labs worked with Media Director Steve Humphries and Commissioner Scott McKibben to transform existing USFL teams into a new brand of professional football. The A11FL was an exciting new spring football league with modified NFL rules to “open up the game” by allowing all 11 offensive players to become eligible receivers. The league would air on ESPN and promise an evolved, more interactive fan experience.
Gridiron Labs worked on several team brand concepts to develop modern, media-rich fan experiences using explosive brand identities, uniform design, and merchandise. One of the six original inaugural teams was the recharged Dallas Wranglers, an original USFL team looking for a more authentic, “true-to-Texas” visual identity.
